A Community-Informed Approach

Lifespan Local cultivates community well-being through partnerships with residents and community champions. Currently operating in Southwest Denver from offices at the Denver Indian Center on Morrison Road, Lifespan Local seeks to create community spaces where health and wellness thrive. The Lifespan Local approach builds on the success of the Dahlia Campus for Health and Well-being, led by project visionary Dr. Lydia Prado.

Rending of Westwood Redeemer from the Northeast.

Lifespan Local recently purchased a site at Redeemer Lutheran Church in SW Denver, and in June of 2022, they broke ground on a 30,000+ square feet community center which will include a partnership with Denver Public Library and Mile High Early Learning.

During the founding of Lifespan Local and for the next several years, Barton Institute served as backbone support and operated alongside the organization in deep partnership. As Lifespan Local continued to grow, the organization has since become an independent nonprofit.
